Welcome to our 2009 NW DanceSport Regional Championships photo page.  It was absolutely my greatest pleasure to have the privilege of photographing your competition this year.  Rarely in life, does one experience so much beauty and talent gathered into a single room!  The championship resulted in approximately 40,000 photos, all of which will be kept on file indefinitely.  Many thanks to our customers, for your patronage and all of the wonderful, appreciative comments received.

General Information - Please Read Carefully

Photos are sold as complete sets of digital files on DVD, which include all of the photos taken during the selected heat(s).  You are granted copyright privileges to print the photos as you please.

Before placing an order, make a list of the heats you want to include - this is necessary to determine the DVD price. See the Competition Heat Listing below, if you need to look up your heat numbers. For heats which had a separate Final, that will count as a separate heat. For example, if you danced in heat 23, and then also in the heat 23 Final, that would count as two heats. Team performances also count as one heat each, but honor dances are complimentary if you are purchasing your photos from a Final heat.

For heat 50, quarter finals and semi-final photos together count as a single heat. The heat 50 and heat 101 Finals include the Solo photos at no additional charge.

Note: Because of the large size of these photo sets, most will be recorded onto DVD-R disks. Please let us know in advance if your computer is not compatible with DVD-R's, and we can use a set of CD-R's instead.

Delivery   Your order will be mailed the morning of the business day following receipt of your order. If you do not receive your DVD within 5 business days, please notify me by email.

Online Ordering

It is now possible to place your order online. Please note that a $2.00 processing/shipping fee will be added to your DVD price during the checkout process. Prices quoted here include any applicable taxes.

The Buy Now button below will take you to the PayPal site, where you will have the option of paying by credit card, or a PayPal account. In most cases, the name you give while placing your order will tell me which heats you need on your DVD, since I use a master listing which includes all of the competitor names listed in the printed program.

Additional information:  In some situations, you may need to provide additional details with your order:
 1) If you were not listed in the printed program for some of your dances, due to late add-on. 
 2) If you were in a Team performance, or would like your Honor Dance photos.
 3) If you are placing an order for another family member.
 4) If you would like to provide me with an explicit list of heat numbers, or there are any heats you wish to omit from your order.
In these cases, you may enter the information in the comments or instructions box during the checkout process, or send a separate email to me (see my email address below).

Ordering and Payment by Mail

Orders may be placed at any time by mailing in an order form, or sending an email stating your name, the heat(s) you are interested in, and a mailing address to receive your photo DVD.  Also be sure to mention if you participated in the Final for each heat which had a quarter- or semi-final, and if you had any other events such as a team performance or honor dance. 

If you are not listed in the program for any of your dances due to late add-on, let me know and provide your heat number(s), or the age_category/proficiency_level/style for your dances (e.g., Senior I Novice Smooth).  In any case, I will work with you via email to identify all of the dances which you participated in.

Pricing for the DVDs depends on how many heats you request.  Finals are generally considered as separate heats from semi-finals, but I will sometimes make exceptions, so please ask.  Team performances are also counted as heats, but honor dance photos are complimentary.

This price list is for orders placed by mail and paid by check (payable to Marianne Oelund), and includes taxes and shipping:

Photography During the Competition

Please note that all couples have been photographed, which means there are photos on file for you, regardless of whether or not you requested them in advance. 

Viewing the Photos on Your DVD

If you use a Windows PC, we recommend the Irfanview photo viewer, which we include on all of the photo DVDs and CDs we record.  For assistance viewing the photos on your disc, please see the Irfanview Instructions and Tips.

Photos From Previous Championships

Photos are also available from the 2007 and 2008 NW Regional Championships.  Pricing is the same as shown above for this year, but I offer a $10 discount if ordered together with the 2009 photos.

Competition Heat Listing and Photo Sheets

Here is the listing of the competition heats, which you may use to look up heat numbers, along with links to the photo sets. 

The sample photos available here are organized into large sheets, one per dance, allowing you to see the captured images at reduced size.  This greatly speeds reviewing the photos, as you can quickly scroll through the set.  The sample photo size is 300 pixels high (or wide); if you are having difficulty seeing enough detail in these samples, you may send an email request for your full-size photo set on DVD.  Since your satisfaction is guaranteed, payment is not required unless you are pleased with the photo sets you receive.

After your computer finishes downloading a photo sheet, your browser may display it at a reduced size.  If this happens, you can return it to full size by hovering your mouse pointer over the lower right corner until the zoom icon appears, then clicking on the icon.  The photo sheet may be copied to your computer by right-clicking on it, then selecting "Save picture as . . ."  After viewing, use your browser's Back button to return to this page.
